Zonal finals at Chandigarh.

The Chandigarh leg of the Tata Tea Jaago Re Soccer Stars tournament was held at the Football Stadium, Sector-17, Chandigarh
 
     
  No. of participating teams from various schools in Chandigarh - 33   Gagandeep Singh representing St. Xavier's Secondary School was recognized as Bangalore's most valuable player of the tournament.  
         
     
  Gaurav Ahlawat from Saint Soldier's International School was awarded the best Goalkeeper of the Chandigarh leg   Viswajit representing Saint Soldier's International School was the highest goal scorer of the tournament  
         
     
  During the 2 days of the tournament , there were a lot of enthusiastic boys, coaches, referees, officials,etc. taking part in various skill games. 2 boys were selected for their exceptional skills and get a chance to be part of the All-India skill camp in Shillong. 1) Dashmesh Singh - Saint Kabir's School. 2 ) Arijit Shukla - Saint Kabir's School.  
         
    The chief guests for the tournament were Mr. Talwar ( Chief of the Olympic association of Chandigarh) , he opened the tournament and greeted the teams whilst Mr. Tejinder Kumar ( Ex- Indian team international, Ex- East Bengal and now currently the Chief coach of the Chandigarh Football Academy ).

Mr. Nassiri was the scout observing the boys for the tournament.
     
  Saupin's School, Sector- 32 A defeated S.D.Senior Secondary School, 24 C ( 1-0 )
  Saupin's School, Sector-32 A will represent Chandigarh for the All-India finals of the TATA TEA JAAGO RE SOCCER STARS 2010.
 
     
    There were a lot of talented boys showing off their skills during the tournament, 3 boys stood apart from the rest and were selected for the All-India Finals in Shillong.The 3 boys are:
     
  Aameen - Saint John's School
  Harshit Singh - Saint John's School
