Zonal finals at Bhubaneshwar. 28th February & 1st March 2009.


	The 2 finalists - Kalinga Insitute of Social Science and Raghunath Bidya Pitha, Cuttack with Chief Guest Mr. Suresh Kumar Routray – President , Bhubaneshwar Athletic Association, Jamshid Nassiri – Head Scout, Dr. Souriya Ranjan Parija – Gen Sec., Bhubaneshwar Athletic Association.		The winners of the Bhubaneshwar leg – Raghunath Vidya Pitha ( Cuttack).


	The Runners Up – Kalinga Insititute of Social Science		Highest Goal Scorer – S.K. Imtiaz Ali, Raghunath Jew Bidya Pitha, Cuttack.


		The zonal finals of Tata Tea Jaago Re Soccer Stars was held in Bhubneshwar on February 28th at Kalinga Stadium

		More than 32 teams participated in the tournament fighting to win the zonal finals

		Raghunath Jew Vidyapitha emerged as winners defeating Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences by 2 goals. This will take them to the national finals to be held in Kolkata mid this year

The Chosen 3 - L-R S.K. Imtiaz Ali( Raghunath Jew Bidya Pitha), Syed Viju Oasim(Sambalpur Football Academy H.S.), and Chandra Sekhar Behera( Raghunath Jew Bidya Pitha).

Some of the players who came to lime light were

		Jitendra Hembram of Unit I High School was recognized as Bhubneshwar’s most valuable player

		Soumya Ranjan Das of Unit II High School was declared the best goalkeeper

		Sk Imtiaz Ali from Raghunath Jew Vidyapitha came out as the highest goal scorer during the zonal matches.

Syed Viju Qasim from Sambalpur Football Academy, Sk Imtiaz Ali from Raghunath Jew Vidyapitha and Chandra Sekhar Behera from Raghunath Jew Vidyapitha were selected for coaching by Arsenal coaches at Kolkata from Bhubneshwar.


		Jamshid Nassiri, Head Scout, observed the tournament for the most promising kid showing exceptional talent in the game.
